Come Fly With The Friendliest Club in Town!

To promote the friendly exchange of information and experience between model aviation modelers and to develop model aviation as a recognized sport and a worthwhile recreational activity.

OUR MISSION
The purpose of the RMFM is to provide Albuquerque area modelers whose principal interest is in aero-modeling with a club that supports the hobby/sport of having fun with all types of models. The club is meant to be a permanent, stable structure wherein members may obtain a safe flying site; relevant social interaction; pertinent and timely information; personal assistance and instruction; friendly competition; public recognition; and political clout.

Our business is the efficient management of club resources; the safe operation of a flying site; the maintenance of a framework for social interaction for the members, their families, and friends; the delivery of membership services; the enrichment of the members’ modeling experience; and the participation in appropriate community activities.

We value modeling activities of all types, with particular emphasis on construction and safe operation of flying aircraft; diversity of modeling interests; individual competence and willingness to share; and an environment that encourages participation and fosters fair play and friendly competition.

MEETINGS
We hold meetings once a month. Meetings are held at Cutter Flying Service, beginning at 7:00 PM, on the third Thursday of each month. We start with some modeling activity, such as exhibitions of new model airplanes, a film, or demonstrations of building techniques; followed by a short business meeting and a raffle.

NEWSLETTER
The Flying Machine News, our newsletter, is published each month, keeping members and others informed about club and model aviation activities.

FLYING SITE
We have two beautiful 600' X 60' runways; taxiways and pit areas on forty acres of leased land on the west side of Albuquerque, far from homes and businesses. This is an ideal site from which to fly all kinds of model aircraft.

REQUIREMENTS
If you have an interest in modeling, whether control line, free flight or RC flying, RC cars, rockets, boats, or other modeling activities, then consider membership in RMFM.   Dues for the RMFM are $70.00 per year (prorated on a six month interval) for a Regular Member, $10.00 for Family member, $12.00 for an Associate Member and $20.00 for a Junior Member, with a one-time field assessment fee of $85.00.  You must be an AMA member, adhere to AMA model aircraft regulations, the RMFM bylaws and field safety rules.
